About SKT

 

SKT Business Communication Solutions (BCS), a privately held company, began providing Key/PBX systems to business customers in the early 1980’s.  The opportunity to begin providing telecommunications services to customers grew from core competencies of our parent company Southern Kansas Telephone Company (SKTC).  From this opportunity, BCS was established as a distinctly separate holding of the SKT family of companies, operating as a traditional interconnect and representing major telecommunications providers such as NEC, Nortel and Mitel to business customers.  During the 1990’s, SKT made significant investments into providing services and solutions related to voice and data convergence.  These investments have transformed SKT into a full service systems integrator, communications partner, project management, consulting and services firm. 

Over the past decade, we have seen our geographic reach expand to include national presence and services delivery.  Our focus has continued to leverage core competencies in communications technologies.  Our national experience, partnerships and competency in mid-sized and enterprise organizations has resulted in considerable technical expertise, mature methodologies and well defined processes.  This has included formation of high level, strategic relationships with industry leaders including Microsoft, Citrix, VMware, EMC and Cisco.  These partnerships have allowed us to continue our growth as a national leader in the unified communications marketplace.

 

Our Team

 

Joel Keller, General Manager

Responsibilities include heading SKT's systems integration and consulting services provider with offices in Wichita, Overland Park, St. Louis and Dallas.  Full responsibility for bottom-line factors, including company vision, long-range strategic planning, product and services management, industry partner relationships and business operation processes.

Damon Martin, CIO

National responsibility for technical and sales initiatives designed to execute on SKT’s mission as a Unified Communications consulting firm.  This includes the execution of consulting practices and sales methodologies developed to ensure organizations realize the promise of Unified Communications.

Chris Carney, Director of Service Delivery

Accountable for management of operation and delivery of consulting services and projects.  Day-to-day management of national services delivery across all areas of SKT's technical offerings. 

 

Rodney Horton, Director of Business Development and Marketing

Works with business decision makers and technical decision makers daily discussing business goals, processes and IT capabilities.  Ensure that technology solutions help a business exceed KPI goals.  Collaborate creatively with sales, engineering and leadership to help provide direction on what types of solutions we bring to market.
